According to an announcement by Mount Pleasant Central School District Superintendent Peter Giarrizzo on Friday afternoon, Sept. 29, flooding at the district's bus yard has left all the vehicles unable to leave.

Because of this, all Mount Pleasant students will need to be picked up from school, Giarrizzo said.

Each school building's principal will be sending out directions for pickup, according to Giarrizzo's announcement.

Any parent or guardian making arrangements for someone else to pick their child up must contact the school's main office to notify them. No student will be released without a confirmed identification.

"We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience," Giarrizzo said.
